hi! okay so i owe sales tax every month and i just realized i had forgotten about sales tax from instaproofs. could you send me an automatic email every month telling me the amount of sales tax i owe for the previous month? an automatic generated email on dec 1 for all sales tax in november, and an email on jan 1 for all sales tax generated in december, etc. that would be amazing. thanks guys.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion, Eddie. We’ll look into this and see what can be done.
Automatically allow my (photographer) email to hide, download and bulk down images from the client's gallery.
Right now I have to add my email address to all three options for each gallery as an 'additional address'. Automatically include my email address in these options so I don't have to type it in 3 times for every gallery.1 vote
Thank you for the suggestion! Before we look into this too much, can you give us an idea of how/why this would be used? As the photographer you can already download the images from your admin (and you presumably have an additional copy on your computer as well) and you can delete out any images that you choose. What extra benefit would you receive by allowing yourself to do this through the storefront as well?
Ideal to have clients come to our site and then be able to log into instaproof from within our site.1 vote
Thank you for this suggestion! Can you explain it a little bit more for us? You can currently add a link from your website to your Instaproofs storefront, but it sounds like you may be wanting something a little different. Additional information would be helpful in order to determine whether it is something we can add or not. Thanks!
After marking favorites, clients can email them to photog.1 vote
Hello, Kristin! Thank you for the suggestion. Our system currently allows you to view your client’s favorites by doing the following: Click into the “Visitors” page for your event from the “Event List” screen, then click on the number found in the “Favorite Count” column next to your client’s email address. Doing this will display their selected favorites. Will this work for what you are hoping to accomplish?
Dexter, what page are you referring to with this?
could you add a report or column item that shows the sale revenue that the sales tax has been calculated from. not all revenue generates sales tax and I need to specify to the NY State Department the amount of sales revenue that correlates to the sales tax I have collected.1 vote
Thank you for this suggestion! Unfortunately we don’t currently have a way to track the specific items that were taxed at the time of purchase, but a simple way to come up with that number is to use the sales tax you collected and work backwards from it. For example, if your tax rate is 10% and you know that $450 in taxes were collected, you can know that the total taxed was $4500. The formula for that is just [total tax collected]/[tax rate]. In this example it would be 450/.10 = 4500.
maybe I'm not doing this properly, but I dont see a way to add print sizes and their pricing.. it would be great to have it in the same page as 'modify pricing template' where you have the list of sizes.. just to 'add new' and go from there1 vote
Thank you for this suggestion! We’ll take a look and see what can be done.
Add Millers Lab as a auto fulfill1 vote
Thank you for your suggestion! We’re actually in talks with Miller’s Lab already, and if all goes well we should be able to get something started fairly soon. We’ll keep you posted!
I had recently noted that ther was no logout button. Adam replied in regards to the administrative site which does in fact have a logout button. I, however, was referring to the new interface which does not have any means of logging out...at least in mobile mode using Chrome / Android 4.4 on my Galaxy S5.1 vote
Gary, I think I see what you are saying. It looks like when you are on a small device the header area (with the logout link) is not sizing properly. We’ll look into getting this fixed, but a workaround for now is to simply zoom out (pinch-inwards) when you want to logout, and the links will then be displayed again.
Love the mobile app option! Just started using it today, but would really help to have an expiration option for them!1 vote
Hi Kat! Thanks for the suggestion. What would you use the expiration date for? For example, would you stop allowing your clients to view their images after a certain number of days? With mobile apps being saved to the mobile devices they are viewed on it may be difficult to enforce this, but if you have a great use-case scenario for it we can certainly take a look.
I have found a spelling error that appears at the beginning of all galleries in Spanish, is the following:
"Recivir noticias de eventos"
"recibir" is written with 'b', not with 'v'. For which Spanish is our main language is a very serious spelling error, and in my opinion, does not give a very good image of my work.
Is there any way I can change it? If not, could you do something? If this happens for all users in Spanish, it would improve your image if you change the word to the following correct way: "recibir" with 'b'.
Hello! We received a similar comment a week or two ago and corrected the spelling error at that time. If you are still seeing this error, please let us know exactly where the spelling error is being displayed and we will get it taken care of. Thanks!

Can we put a link to the modify event tab while you're in the manage photos page for an event so you don't have to go back out, choose the event and so on. Basically a link to all the details of the event so you don't have to go back and forth.1 vote
Hi Hayley! Thanks for the suggestion! We’re trying to think of a use-case scenario for this and can’t think of why someone would want to do this on a regular basis. Can you tell us what your workflow is like, so that we can understand the issue a little better? Thanks!
the right click button is active in your new Gallery Style setup. I was able to right click and copy the pictures without any issue.1 vote
Thank you for this note! You are correct that right click is not currently disabled, however, we are having trouble seeing where this allows you to save the images. The right-click menu that is brought up should not contain a “Save Image As…” option, but instead contains other options that are not generally related to the image you are seeing. Please let us know where you are seeing the option to save your images through right-clicking, and we will get in there and see if we can shut that down. Thanks
It continues to say that the payment cannot go through due to a "risk model." I had 4 customer having this trouble in the last few days. any ideas how we can fix it1 vote
If a payment is not accepted due to a “risk model,” that generally means that your client has entered an incorrect billing address. If their banks returns a No Match response when their address is being verified, their transaction will fail. If you have a specific incident that you would like us to look up, please email us the details at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can verify whether or not that is what has happened for your client(s).
You guys are great and I love the enhancements that you are always adding. I would love to be able to give my customers a free or discounted item if they spend a certain dollar amount,1 vote
Hello, Margo! Thank you for this suggestion. I believe that we may already have something that does close to what you’re asking about. The item I am referring to is called a bounce-back discount, and the way it works is if person spends a certain amount of money on an order, they will automatically receive a discount code that they can use towards their next purchase. The discount code can include a specific value (such as $10 off their next order) or a percentage value (such as 20% off their next order). For a tutorial on how to set these up, please see the Bounce-Back Discount tutorial video found here: https://secure.instaproofs.com/administration/university/uni_discounts.php
If you have any questions while setting this up, shoot us an email at email@example.com!
One of the reasons I loved zenfolio all these years was because I was able to upload PDFs such as my Welcome Guide for my family portrait clients. I would love to be able to have all of of my business tools under my Instaproofs site.1 vote
Thank you for the suggestion, Diana. We would love to take a look into doing this; could you provide some additional details for us? For example, where would these PDFs be displayed, or how would they used on the storefronts?
The new site is painfully SLOW. OMG. Still waiting on being able to expand and crop a custom photo for the category/gallery windows (featured image) -- not just the center/center, top/center, etc alignment.1 vote
Thank you for your comments. I’m sorry to hear that things seem to be running slow for you. This isn’t something that we’ve heard from others, but we’d be happy to look into it for you. What specific page(s) are giving you the most trouble?
Hi... things don't appear quite right when viewing online gallery on an ipad. Some events to the right of the screen appear partly off the screen with no way of scrolling to see them. Also once logged in and when clicking on a photo to buy, if there are many buying options to the left of the photo you can't scroll down as you are able when on a Windows PC.1 vote
Hi Phil! We have previously tested the iPad pretty thoroughly, but we’re going to go in test again to make sure things are still looking as they should be. Thanks for the comment!
Is it possible to position the Next / Previous arrows directly next to the image that is displayed....That would make it much easier for clients to navigate thru their album?
Currently the "Next Image" option is in tiny font right above the thumbnails, which is very hard to find & cumbersome to click on.
Clicking on Thumbnails, themselves, doesn't allow for a smooth flow thru the album.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion! We’ll take a look and see what can be done.
I feel we should have order minimums separate for downloads and prints. This way the downloads could have none while the prints could have $20 or what we would choose. This would generate more income for all of us. Thank you1 vote
Thank you for your suggestion! On each print set and product there is a setting to indicate the item is a digital download, and along with that setting there is an option in the preferences page (within the “Storefront Misc Options” section) labeled “Ignore Minimum Order Requirements On Entirely Downloadable Orders.” When this option is enabled, the minimum settings for your events are ignored when a person is purchasing just digital downloads. Is that what you are looking for?
