How can we improve Instaproofs?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Allow a limited number of single downloads and charge per each additional

    Have a function that allows clients to download a certain number of free images and then allow us to charge per each additional image download. Would work well for events like mini sessions where we can upsell the additional digitals.

  2. Category folders within events

    The ability to group certain categories into a folder in the event. For example, in a wedding have a details folder with the categories "food", "attire", and "setting", another folder for events that has "first dance", "cake cutting", and "bouquet toss" in it. It's really crucial for doing school photography. Being able to have one event for the whole school, then folders for each class, and a category for each student. As it is, I'll have to create a new event for each class which is a pain in the you-know-what, and not really feasible with my current plan (limit…

  3. Add support for Royal Mail's Click & Drop (online postage)

    In the UK we can now import spreadsheets to easily generate postage online.

    This saves small companies a ton of time and is easier than using stamps, as the shipping rules can automatically apply the correct postage type and will even allow for the automatic printing of postage labels and despatch notes.

    The only thing we need is to be able to export the data as a csv file in the appropriate format.

    For orders that have ordered multiple products they should appear over multiple lines with the same order number.

  4. Customizable Email On The Spot

    Hi! I would LOVE the ability to send a customizable email to a certain visitor, rather than having to make a template each time.

    Like being able to email the visitor through instaproofs instead of having to go to gmail back and forth.

  6. Please (!) add titles and captions

    I want to use instaproof for photojournalism but it is missing a big (and basic) feature: Captions and titles. Please add this! A lot of people would find it very usefull

  8. Watermarking

    It would be great to have the ability to watermark just one gallery of your choice. For example, we are sending a commercial gallery to an art director for a website he is designing that hasn't been retouched and want to watermark the photos for his selection before we do our final retouching.

  10. Pretty Galleries on Mobile

    I'd love to see the galleries be pretty on mobile! When I click a link and get to an instaproofs gallery on my phone it's just one column and I feel like I'm scrolling forever. Something more Pinterest like (like other online gallery companies) would be far more appealing to my clients and me.

  12. Download Link Extension

    When sending images to vendors, I have them make a list and send them a link to download. Many times, they don't realize the link has an expiration on it which causes more work on my part and frustration on their end.

    We need an option where we can permanently enable downloads to the favorites list granted to certain emails, or an option to customize the amount of time the link is live.

  14. Share link should take them to the full size photo for ordering

    When you click the share icon on an image and send to someone’s email, it just sends them a thumbnail and the link goes to the full gallery where they have to scroll through to find the image. It seems counter-intuitive and prevents me from selling a print of an image since the client can’t find it in a gallery full of 1000+ images. The link should go to the specific image after they sign in, so they can see it larger and purchase.

  17. Email Validation / Verification

    Hi Instaproofs. We are continuing to see increasing numbers of people using fake email addresses to access our image galleries. This is very disturbing.

    We would like to see an Email Verification for gallery visitors.

    It would the exact same type of system you use for us to join and post comments on this "User Voice/Suggestions" website. I had to provide my email address, you sent a verification email to my inbox, I clicked on your "magic link" and it took me right back here where I signed in and am now providing these comments.

  18. Multiple-Session Booking

    Within booking, allow users to select multiple time slots for one client when booking multi-sessions. This is for booking mini-sessions. I sometimes have clients book more than one time-slot for multiple children. I have to send individual invoices for each session slot. It would be nice to send one.

  19. Sizes / Sets

    It would be great if we could set the sizes on Metric and Imperial formats.
    When clients order from Europe they see sizes on metric format (mm/cm), but in the US and Australia they see it as Imperial (inches).

    This also could be another helpful feature under setup>sizes/sets:
    To be able to see next to each size what kind of add-ons and/or products that size is being used for.

    For example:
    Order Size Add-ons edit delete
    1 10x10 metallic, canvas, etc...

  20. Adding Images & Notes to products

    The procedure for adding Images & Notes to products is very confusing to clients - as there are too many steps going back and forth between cart & store.
    To order a procuct, one needs to 1) add product to cart, 2) Go to cart, 3) click a link to go back to the images 4) sort thru the images, then 5) Click on Buy This Image button - (which isn't intuitive, at all). and then 6) Notice the instructions to "Add to: Product" which is easily overlooked, as it's the same color & font as everything else.
