    The main difference between the “invite” option and the email settings is that settings can (and are) be selected by the users. To enable/disable all of the settings at once would seem out of line in most cases. But, if you can describe a good scenario for allowing it, we can look into it further.

    Well, now I can't quite remember the specifics, but there was a time when, for strategic reasons, I only wanted some clients to get sales or expiration notices, so being able to turn them all on or all off was convenient. Also, I think one time I re-activated an event after it had expired, to try and get some more blood from the turnip, and all of the checkmarks had been removed.
