Non-Java uploader seems to take FOREVER to process images!
Even if I upload only ONE image, it alone seems to take 20 minutes. Even though I have one of the speediest Windows 8.1 platforms there is. How can you help me? Thanks.

Hello, Katrina. I wasn't able to determine whether your question was about the uploading speed, or the speed of the image processing into the system after it has been uploaded, so I will attempt to answer both of these concerns.
Upload Time: The time it takes to upload your images is dependent on a couple of different factors, including: how large your images are, the upload speed of your internet connection (which is generally significantly different than the download speed), any potential delays in the routing between your computer and our servers. If you have a standard (non-high res subscription) account and are concerned about the amount of time it takes to upload your images, we recommend batch-resizing the images beforehand to a size no longer than 1280px on the largest side. For high-res subscribers, we recommend uploading your images in a size no larger than 4200px on the largest side, which will comfortably facilitate the printing of prints up to roughly 16x20. If a print order comes in with a size larger than this, the specifically ordered print can be re-uploaded in a larger size at that time.
Processing Speed: The speed that the images are processed is based solely on the number of images in the processing queue ahead of the newly uploaded image. Whether a single image is uploaded or 600 images are uploaded, the images are put at the end of the processing queue. Images are generally processed within about 5 minutes, but when there is a large number of photographers uploading at one time, the wait time can be up to 20 minutes or more. The processing speed is not related to the method that you are using to upload your images (Java, Non-java, Lightroom, FTP, etc.); these are all methods to upload your images, but once they are uploaded they all land in the same processing queue.
Hope that helps!
