Limit Full-Event Downloads to 1 or 2 times per e-mail address
Hi, The main benefit of the "Full Event Download" is to save the photographer time and money in delivering a copy of the high resolution files to their clients. I know you were originally against this idea, and have now accepted it - so thanks! Some photographers, like me, do include files as part of their packages - and still see high print sales. Without a limit to the number of times a client can download, I am concerned the client will simply forward the e-mail on to all their friends and family. The argument that they could do this anyways, if we send them the files on a USB is reasonable, however, in practice e-mailing is much easier, time-effective, and doesn't require any know-how to simply forward an e-mail. As opposed to uploading all the images onto a server, and then distribute them to their friends and family.. I don't see the average client doing that, but I do see the average client forwarding an e-mail to everyone they know. My mailings cost me approximately $10 each. 150 weddings plus 100 engagements and family sittings equals about $2500 in delivery costs. Instaproofs can wipe that out. Heck, I'll even pay you extra per year for this option. My other option is two upload a job twice - repetitive and annoying, to another server simply for delivery of the images, and find a way to fool-proof the client from downloading it multiple times.
Thanks for the suggestion! This functionality has now been added. You can now limit each email address to a single download through a setting found in your event details.
